Visitor Safety
We want everyone who comes to Southside to have a great time at our venue and we take your safety extremely seriously. There will always be a first-aider on site at all times.

Harassment
We want all of our Southside visitors to have a safe and pleasurable experience here. We want you to relax, listen to music, enjoy time with friends, meet nice people and feel part of our community without fear of harassment.
We take a zero tolerance approach to behaviour that is intimidating or humiliating and you will not be welcome at the venue if you behave in this way.
We want to assure you that our team is fully trained and dedicated to ensure our customers feel safe at all times. Please talk to us about any concerns you have during your visit.

Ask for Angela
If you ever feel like you’re not in a safe situation at our venue, please speak to a member of staff and ‘Ask for Angela’. Our staff will know that you need some assistance getting out of your situation and they will help you out discreetly.

Spiking
Due to the recent rise in spiking at venues in Lincoln we want to reassure you that we have measures in place to keep our customers safe.
We have cup lids available.
If you are worried about yourself or someone else please talk to a member of staff and they will deal with the situation quickly, calmly and professionally.
We will always replace any drinks you are concerned about. Your safety is our first priority. We will immediately arrange medical or police assistance if required.

Data Protection
Southside is committed to protecting the privacy of those who use our services (online and in our venue), and to being transparent about what data we have. Southside will ensure that your data is only used, and stored, accordingly in line with the Data Protection Act, 1998 (DPA).
Southside will need to collect personal information from you when you book tickets, enquire about events, subscribe to one of our online services e.g. our mailing list.
If you are under the age of 18, please ensure you have a parent/guardian’s permission before you provide personal information to the Southside website. If you do not have this consent, you must not share your personal information with us.

Cookie Policy
Internationally recognised and at the heart of Lincoln's cultural community, Southside is a contemporary arts venue that delivers a daily programme of live music, theatre, dance, live art, visual art, literature and comedy.
We are a small, independently run venue with charitable status and a mission to support the development of artists and nurture emerging talent across a range of art forms.
There are no vacancies at the moment.
