    Start your week right by joining Emily Warrior in the serene surroundings of Southside's former church, for a blissful 60 minute yoga class designed to reduce aches and pains, improve mobility, strength and flexibility of the whole body as well as calming the mind and releasing stress, helping you to wind down, preparing you for the week ahead.

  • LIFE DRAWING - EVERY SECOND & LAST TUESDAY | 19:00-21:00

    Whether you’re seasoned or new to the sketch pad, everybody is welcome to join in. After a drink or two, it will get a little abstract anyway!

    From traditional life drawing to something with a sparkle, each month has something different to offer, sometimes even a theme to enjoy and get involved with.

    Formed by singer-cellist Bonnie Schwarz and accordionist/synth Pete Shaw, this couple began their band’s journey with a twist of fate: stranded in New Zealand during the pandemic, they set about transforming their temporary home into a whirlwind of creativity.

  • Tea with Queen Elizabeth I - 03.05.26 | 18:00

    A chance to meet Her Majesty at her political zenith and already an icon in the English psyche of the time.

    This glittering presentation in a ravishing costume from Lesley Smith, former curator of Tutbury Castle and well-known historian specialising in medieval matters, will transport the audience back to the time of Drake, Raleigh and Shakespeare on England’s voyage into the Renaissance.

    And to follow, included in the ticket price; tea, cake and an audience with Her Majesty!

  • Meet St Gilbert - 03.05.25 | 12:00-16:00

    Founder of the medieval priory of St Katherine, on what is now the South Common, and one of the most influential figures in Lincoln’s history, St Gilbert (or Gilbert of Sempringham, as he was known before his Sainthood) is celebrated in the former church of St Katherine, now a Grassroots venue known as Southside.

    Stand overlooking the very stones that formed the ancient building and appreciate a modern interpretation, on video, on the life of Gilbert himself.

    PLUS an immersive medieval soundscape!

  • BAREFOOT - 18.07.26

    Barefoot, once a monthly vinyl night for over a decade down the local pub in the West End of Lincoln that hosted some of the best DJs and collectors locally and from across the UK & Globe, each playing 30 minutes of the music they truly love. Those ten years are well documented and beautifully archived by local photographer, David Nicholson, on the event’s Facebook page along with attendees’s videos & superb memories.
